Our Experience with Amber Tomato:

Amber starts giving us golf ball sized bright orange tomatoes in early July even though we are growing it in the open without any plastic to generate heat. Like all our tomatoes, we try to get them in the ground by May 1 which is well past our last frost date. It's indeterminate so it needs to be put in a tomato cage or tied to a trellis or stake.

This tomato plant comes in a four inch pot hardened off to outside conditions and ready to be planted into a larger pot or in the ground.

An Overview of Amber Tomato from the Internet:

The Amber Tomato is a Russian heirloom variety known for its prolific yields and early maturation. These determinate, dwarf plants produce an abundance of small, 2-3 ounce globe-shaped fruits with a distinct golden-amber hue. The flavor is a harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity, making them a versatile choice for a variety of culinary applications. Ideal for fresh eating in salads, as a snacking tomato, or for creating flavorful sauces and preserves. Due to their compact size, Amber tomato plants are well-suited for container gardening and thrive even in cooler, wetter climates, ensuring a reliable harvest.
