Our Experience with Juliet Cherry Tomato:
Juliet is an oblong cherry tomato a little larger than our other cherry tomatoes like sungold and sweet million. Our favorite thing to do with Juliet is roast them in the oven and use them in recipes or just a simple topping until they run out. The concentrated tomato taste is awesome. We plant out Juliet along with the rest of our tomato plants between mid-April and early May. We generally try to have our tomatoes in-ground before May 1st. It ripens a little later but we start seeing ripe Juliet tomatoes by mid-August and by September we have enough to process for storage.
This tomato plant comes in a four inch pot hardened off to outside conditions and ready to be planted into a larger pot or in the ground.
Overview of Juliet Cherry Tomato from the Internet:
The Juliet cherry tomato is a hybrid, indeterminate variety known for its prolific production of one to two-ounce, elongated fruits. Often compared to a mini Roma due to its shape, it boasts a sweet, rich flavor and a firm, meaty texture. Its glossy red skin is notably crack-resistant, contributing to a longer shelf life both on and off the vine. This variety is also recognized for its good disease resistance, particularly to early and late blights. Due to its versatile size and flavor, the Juliet tomato is well-suited for a variety of culinary applications, including fresh eating in salads, roasting, and making sauces.
