Our Experience with Marketmore 76 Cucumber:
Our Marketmore 76 plants get planted with our squash plants in early to mid-May. Once they start producing in early July, you need to check them every couple of days by lifting vines up and poking around the patch. So many!
This winter squash plant comes in a four inch pot hardened off to outside conditions and ready to be planted into a larger pot or in the ground. If it is still early May, we recommend up-potting to a gallon container for a couple of weeks until the weather warms up.
An Overview of Marketmore 76 Cucumber from the Internet:
The Marketmore 76 is a highly reliable and widely adapted heirloom slicing cucumber, celebrated for its productivity and vigor. This variety consistently produces uniform, straight, dark-green fruits that average eight to nine inches in length. The skin is smooth with a satisfying crunch, leading to a crisp, juicy, and refreshingly mild, bitter-free flesh. Developed at Cornell University, it possesses a notable resistance to common cucumber ailments such as scab, cucumber mosaic virus, and mildews. Ideal for fresh eating in salads, sandwiches, and spears, the Marketmore 76 is a dependable choice for home gardeners and market growers seeking consistent quality.
