Our Experience with Moskvich Tomato:

We discovered Moskvich through Deep Harvest Farm down on Whidbey. It grows well and is sold by seed companies here in the Pacific Northwest. We get good sized tomatoes from it in early August. We find it similar to Siletz but it does ripen a little later, is indeterminate, and needs to be trellised.

This tomato plant comes in a four inch pot hardened off to outside conditions and ready to be planted into a larger pot or in the ground.

Overview of Moskvich Tomato from the Internet:

The Moskvich tomato is a Russian heirloom variety known for its early maturity and resilience in cooler climates. This tomato typically produces uniform, round to slightly flattened, deep red fruits weighing between four to six ounces. It is valued for its rich, well-balanced flavor that combines sweetness with a touch of acidity, often described as a classic tomato taste. The Moskvich is a versatile variety, suitable for slicing, fresh eating in salads and sandwiches, as well as for canning and making sauces. Its resistance to cracking and ability to set fruit in lower temperatures make it a reliable choice for gardeners in various regions.
