Our Experience with Yellow Pear Cherry Tomato

We have grown Yellow Pear Cherry Tomato for a few years now. I tastes good but I also like the shape and color. On a side note, some of our farmer's on Lopez produce such beautiful produce they look like pieces of artwork. Sometimes it's just nice to have aesthetically pleasing fruit like this. We try to get it in the ground by early May. It sprawls quite a bit so we use tall tomato cages to keep it contained.  We have also stood up cattle fence and then tied the vines to the wire as a way to keep it from crawling across the ground.

This tomato plant comes in a four inch pot hardened off to outside conditions and ready to be planted into a larger pot or in the ground.

Overview of Yellow Pear Cherry Tomato from the Internet

The Yellow Pear is an heirloom cherry tomato variety distinguished by its unique, pear-like shape and bright, golden-yellow color. These small, bite-sized tomatoes grow in abundant clusters on large, indeterminate vines that require staking or support. The flavor profile is notably mild and low in acid, with a subtle sweetness that makes it a suitable choice for fresh eating, particularly in salads or as a snack. Its thin skin and juicy interior provide a pleasant texture. A consistent and prolific producer throughout the growing season, the Yellow Pear has been a popular garden staple for generations due to its distinctive appearance and reliable yields.
